  • Creative Crystal Palace - art inspired by the subway

The subway is proving to be an inspiration for local artists and photographers whose creations show the space as we’ve never seen it before.

Artist and photographer Julian Davies sent us a stunning collection of 360 degree images he created after visiting the subway during the Open House in autumn (left). You can see more pictures of the subway (and his other creations) here.

Amongst the creations by artist and illustrator Matt Bannister is this quirky image which brings together the subway and its neighbours, the sphinxes (bottom left). You can wear the image with pride by popping into Smash, Bang Wallop and buying a t-shirt featuring Matt’s handiwork.

Meanwhile Sinead Taylor’s limited edition print (bottom right) is going down a storm. It’s available to buy on the Handmade Palace stall or from Etsy.
